We perform a physical exam, recommend pre-anesthetic testing before surgery, monitor your pet during surgery, and provide appropriate pain medication to keep your pet comfortable during recovery. Our veterinary team takes every precaution so that your pet receives the highest-quality care. Because we want to ensure that our patients receive the best possible outcome, we occasionally refer them to specialists (board-certified veterinary surgeons) to perform complex operations when advanced equipment or training will be beneficial. Our experienced veterinarian provides many surgical vet services at our clinic, ranging from routine to advanced procedures. She could not imagine herself doing any other job and plans to continue to further her knowledge and help as many animals as she can. Courtney has a strong passion for helping animals big and small. At home, she has a black Labrador named Joe and a cat named Monique. She worked there until deciding to make the move to Habersham County to help open Cornerstone Animal Hospital alongside Dr. In 2011, she took a full-time job at the Animal Wellness Hospital of Highlands. ![]() While still in high school, Courtney started working at Rabun Animal Hospital in 2005 and continued part-time work there throughout college. From there, she graduated in 2011 with an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science from the Clinical Laboratory Program. She graduated from Rabun County High School in 2008 and then attended North Georgia College and State University for one year before transferring to North Georgia Technical College.
